Thomas heads the Linde Advanced Operations Services, a unit within Linde plc, that develops and provides services for the Process Industry based on process data and advanced automation to implement Industry 4.0. 

For the last 5 years he was responsible for Linde’s Operations across Asia Pacific including countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and the Philippines. Establishing Linde‘s Remote Operating Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia that is operating 125 plants in 12 countries from one control room using algorithms to predict failures, monitor safety and minimize energy consumption of the plants, Thomas has gained hands on experience in transforming manufacturing in developing countries using cutting edge IT and automation technology. Thomas has managed the global Automation & Optimization agenda of Linde‘s Gas Division including the scale up of Linde‘s global data acquisition system collecting 500,000+ data points from 1000+ plants every minute. Starting his career in China, he worked on all 9 continents in multiple senior leadership positions designing, commissioning, and operating process plants for the basic industry. All along his career Thomas has applied IT technology to create step changes in the way to use energy and produce basic chemicals and steel.
